MANIFESTO / N°01

We're tired ofsoftware that nags.

RelayLabs is a studio of one, sometimes two.We make the utilities we wanted to exist on our own Macs. That's the entire business plan.

Somewhere between the Mac App Store's race to the bottom and the SaaS industry's race to charge you monthly for a config file, there's a gap. Small, precise tools that do one thing, don't phone home, and cost what they cost once. That gap is what we fill.

We don't believe every app needs an AI. We don't believe every button needs a gradient. We don't believe you should have to log in to change a keyboard shortcut. We probably disagree with your favorite software. That's okay.

What we commit to.

  1. 01

    Native, always.

SwiftUI and AppKit. No Electron, no Catalyst shrug. If the Mac can do it natively, we do.

  2. 02

    Quiet by default.

No personal data collection. No A/B tests. No "we'd love your feedback" modal on launch four. Analytics are anonymous signals via TelemetryDeck — no URLs, no identifiers.

  3. 03

    Pay once, own it.

No subscriptions for features that should be features. All future updates included, forever.

  4. 04

    Small and done.

An app ships when it's done. A feature ships when we'd actually use it ourselves.

  5. 05

    Your data is yours.

Rules and preferences — all local. Cloud sync is opt-in (Pro) and stores only your routing rules, never URLs or personal data.

If any of this sounds good, please come along. SwitchBoard is the first one out the door. More are behind it, and each one will try to earn its place on your menu bar.
