GETTING STARTED

Installing SwitchBoard.

macOS requires one extra step for apps downloaded outside the App Store.

Unzip & move to Applications

Open the downloaded SwitchBoard.zip, then drag SwitchBoard into your Applications folder.

Right-click → Open

In Applications, right-click SwitchBoard and choose Open. Don't double-click — macOS will block it on first launch.

Allow in Privacy & Security

If macOS shows a warning, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll to Security → click Open Anyway.

Set as your default browser

SwitchBoard will prompt you on first launch. Click Make Default Browser and you're done.

NOTE

The "Apple cannot verify" warning appears because SwitchBoard is distributed directly, not through the Mac App Store. The app does not collect personal data or send URLs anywhere.
